| Earope Computer-Aided Ear Training Software | |||||||||||||||||||
|
Earope (formerly known as Earobics) was developed for musicians, by musicians. It is a full-featured ear training software package aimed at anyone spending time in the music arena. Earope was designed with the requirements of different advanced musical studies as the focal point. Earope covers intervals, scales, chords, inversions, and melodic and rhythmic dictation. It can be tailored to almost any need. Click to download a trial version of the software. The software is protected by a registration key but you will have full access to all functions, with a few limitations. I have purchased and use this software and am very happy with the drills and results. |

David Lucas Burge of EarTraining.com has developed a couple of wonderful ear training courses, both of which I own and use. One is the Perfect Pitch® Ear-Training SuperCourse and the other is the Relative Pitch® Ear-Training SuperCourse. The courses have been used by thousands of people over the past 20 years, and Mr. Burge recently released an updated and expanded version. The courses are available on CDs or cassettes. |

| Java Music Theory | |||||||||||||||||||
| Rob Whelan has created a wonderful site with several java applets relating to music theory. My favorites are the Interval Drills, the Chord Drills, and the Scale Building. Mr. Whelan has put a tremendous amount of work into creating these and the other applets that can be found on his Java Music Theory site. He also presents links to other sites dedicated to music theory. | |||||||||||||||||||

| Staff Sargeant | |||||||||||||||||||
| Staff Sargeant is a simple Windows utility with a single purpose; the printing of blank music paper on either letter size (8.5" x 11") or legal size (8.5" x 14") paper. This program was developed using Visual Basic 3.0 by John Meadows of Toronto, Canada. I can't locate the URL of where I originally downloaded the program but Mr. Meadows stated in the readme file that the program can be freely distributed as long as there is no fee charged for it. The file is 8 kb. | |||||||||||||||||||
